Julio has always been someone who has good vibes and is very outgoing. He finds it easy to make friends and even spark a conversation with random people and this serves him very well at weddings.
What do you love about DJ’ing?
Julio: DJ’ing involves music. Since I was a kid music was always my way of coping with life. So when I found the art of being a DJ I fell in love with the fact that i can play music and have a crowd of people enjoy the music with me and I always get to add my twist to every event.
Cracking jokes is also one of Julio’s favorite things to do. He’s a very positive person who is fun to be around!
When asked about his DJ style, Julio says: “I like to use my club experience to my advantage when it comes to weddings. I can easily tell if a crowd enjoys quick mixing or if they just want to vibe to the music. I really do focus a lot on my transitions being smooth after every song.”
Julio: I really focus on the little details. I really make sure the couples I work with understand that I have an idea on how they want me to execute the wedding day. And not just that I am also very flexible with special requests or accommodations with clients. And more than anything if I feel like I am not a good fit for the couple’s expectations then I am honest with the couple and I let them know ahead of time. I don’t lie to any present or future wedding clients.
What was your first musical love?
“The song Disco Hypno. I heard this song in Mexico at a youth event and I had it on replay the whole day. This is where I started discovering EDM music.“
